Bind and Pack Discretely: TransTape

You may be wondering, "how is it possible for one to bind and pack discretely?" And if you are, you've come to the right place! TransTape veterans have likely already heard the great news, but TransTape provides us with a compression free and strapless option for many of our gender affirming wants and needs. If you wanna know more, stick around and learn something!

Hello, my good buddy!

How are we feeling today, splendid? I sure hope so.

If you're not splendid yet, you will be by the end of this post.

We'll be skipping in a field of wildflowers together in no time!

You've been gathered here today because you're probably seeking a more discrete way of binding or packing.

What gave it away, the title?

Many of us have probably experienced the discomfort of a poor quality binder or packing harness and we can probably all agree that it was terrible.

Maybe the harness straps were scratchy, binder lines were making us question ourselves or maybe we just hated wearing what felt like an extra layer of clothing just to feel at home in our own bodies.

Or maybe all of the above, it's not always easy finding the best solution.

No matter the reason, glad you're here!

Let's talk about TransTape, but in stealth mode.

What Is TransTape?

Alright, TransTape vets, you know the drill.

You've probably heard it a million times, but we're going to talk about what exactly TransTape is for all of the new users here.

I know, I know. I do this to you every time and all you want to do is read all the cool things I write about. I understand, I do.

That's why you're more than welcome to skip ahead, I won't hold it against you guys.

I might cry, though. I worked really hard on this.

Jokes aside, skip the recap if you must and I'll meet you in the next section.

Now, we persevere!

TransTape is theeeeee original body-transformation system!

It's a backless, strapless and waterproof alternative to binders, bras, gaffes and other self-affirming products.

If you're someone who packs, TransTape can also replace those expensive packing briefs and you can even stand to pee with it, if that's your thing!

The fabric to this amazing stuff is made from a blend of 95% cotton and 5% spandex, making it comfortable and flexible.

And to keep this fabric attached to our delicate skin, TransTape uses a hypoallergenic medical grade acrylic adhesive that is latex free and non-medicated.

Phew, that last part is always a lot.

TransTape is made with the user in mind.

And what I mean by that is, it's made with everyone in mind.

Everyone can use TransTape, whether you use it to ease gender dysphoria or replace an overpriced bra that isn't even comfortable.

Some people don't actually realize that the "Trans" in TransTape stands for transformation and not transgender. This seems to be a very common misconception!

TransTape is for everybody, and don't forget it!

Regardless of your lifestyle, from an adventure craving daredevil to a relaxed homebody, TransTape has you covered.

Workout in the gym, float in the ocean, read a book in your favorite chair or do all three this week with the same application!

That's right, TransTape can last up to a week!

Sometimes even more, depending on your application.

So go ahead and enjoy the best things in life as your authentic self.

Find your freedom.

What Makes It Discrete?

Did we all make it here safely? Good.

There are a few key features that make TransTape a good option for someone who is looking to toss binders or harnesses in the trash.

But also a great option for those of us who may live "stealth."

If you're unfamiliar with that term, "living stealth" as a trans identifying person essentially means that you "pass" as your desired sex/gender and choose to keep your "gender history" to yourself, and/or the few people who you may be close to.

Living stealth is often a choice but sometimes it's purely a survival method and we should recognize that. Not all of us have the option to be out, proud and safe.

And that's unfortunate, to say the absolute least.

But.

Regardless of why you're looking for a more discrete option for your self affirming needs, we're going to talk about how TransTape could be the answer to your problems.

Backless and Strapless

First and foremost, TransTape is backless and strapless.

That's it, case closed.

Not entirely, but the backless and strapless feature of TransTape makes it incredibly easy to toss away pesky binders and stupid harnesses.

Harnesses aren't stupid, I just personally can't stand them for many reasons that we are not discussing today.

You're not only making straps a thing of the past, you're also opening up to some compression free binding.

No more difficulty breathing, no more red marks from binder and harness straps, no more adjusting every other hour, no more binder breaks, no more extra layers and no clothing restrictions.

TransTape does not wrap all the way around your body, leaving your back and chest open.

Which also means, open front shirts!

If you apply TransTape using the official tutorials or instruction manual, you'll have a large portion of your chest free of tape.

So brush off your favorite button up and break out the iron, we're steppin' out tonight!

Discretely.

Skin Tones

TransTape comes in 4 skin tones.

Plus inked, black, white, pink, purple, green, blue.

Obviously, pink is going to be pretty noticeable if it shows.

But that's why we're talking about the skin tones!

Depending on your choice of fashion, TransTape may or may not show a little bit.

For example, if you're like me you might appreciate a good tank top or a muscle shirt to show off the 'ol dusty guns.

My arms.

In that case TransTape will usually show a little, or a lot in a deep cut tank.

I personally don't really mind my TransTape showing a bit but this would be a situation where someone who does mind could use TransTape to ease their discomfort.

The skin tones may not be a perfect or an exact match for you, but they're likely close enough where you won't be generating as much attention as you might with bright colors like green and purple.

In case you need to hear this, most people aren't paying as close attention to you as you think they are. You probably aren't generating a bunch of attention. My TransTape shows at the gym all the time and I have never once been questioned about it in over a year, even with the inked tape on.

Skin tone tape can really help with packing too!

I always use a skin tone roll when I pack with TransTape, I've been tempted with the inked but it always feels more natural using the other.

For me, it almost matches the color of my packer and when looking in the mirror, it helps me feel a little bit more complete and like it belongs.

And if my shirt is off, it normally is, you won't see any straps hanging around my waist line.

Worst case, you see a little bit of skin tone tape if my pants are riding low and it really isn't even noticeable.

Plus, if my pants are riding that low I probably want you to see it, if you catch my drift.

That's just me though, you do you.

Wear with Any Clothing

Open chest shirts, fitted shirts with no binder lines and SWIMSUITS?!

Yes. Yes to everything.

You can wear your favorite open chest shirt without exposing a binder, you can wear a fitted top without any lines showing through the fabric and you can even go swimming without worrying about a wet harness or some damp expensive underwear.

An amazing feeling I never knew I needed was binding and packing with TransTape while I went swimming.

I didn't need anything other than myself and swim trunks.

I wasn't even worried about wet binders and underwear, I was more concerned about my package showing too much through the wet swim trunks. Which, oddly enough, was kinda affirming.

I'm not a huge swimmer but that single experience makes me wanna swim.

But if that's not your thing and you'd rather dress up for a nice dinner or social event, that's cool too!

Again, no straps to hide and you can even leave your shirt unbuttoned a little bit to show off some skin.

Being dressed up while discreetly binding and packing is a magical feeling. You look and feel like the 10 that you really are! No scratchy, compressed discomfort in sight.

For me, binders and harnesses alike made me feel fake. I hated the feeling of putting on an additional layer just to feel at home in my own body.

That's why I love TransTape. I wake up every morning, put on my socks, underwear, shirt, pants and that's it!

I'm good to go for at least a week without worrying about adding any special accessories every day. And I can sleep and shower with it on? Say less!

But there's absolutely nothing wrong with using binders and harnesses, they are an outstanding alternative for some people and that's great! Everyone is different and if it works for you, that's really all that matters.

Live It Up

Whether you live life in stealth mode or not, TransTape can really come in handy.

Especially on days where you may be feeling a little less than fantastic.

It's not always easy to live authentically as yourself, it's actually really hard sometimes and I think we can all agree on that.

I know for me, living authentically became a lot easier when I discovered TransTape.

Life became a little more, dare I say, "no strings attached."

Feeling comfortable in your skin is important and whether or not you feel "exposed" can heavily impact how comfortable you're feeling.

Especially in public.

I'm in no way saying that you should feel the need to hide signs of binders, harnesses, etc.

There is no shame in affirming yourself. We do it for ourselves and nobody else.

All I'm saying is that sometimes, the more discreet options can be beneficial.

Mentally, physically and spiritually.

Whether you live in stealth mode, hate harnesses, are a frequent gym goer in love with deep cut tanks or maybe you just want to switch things up every once in a while, it doesn't matter.

Whatever your reasoning is, it's valid and I love that for you.

Enough of my nonsense, though.

Go be unapologetically yourself.

Until next time,

Stay awesome,

Stay beautiful,

Stay you.

You are loved and it gets better.

Talk to you soon,
