About: Packing with TransTape

You can use TransTape for many things, not just binding! We've talked a lot about binding with TransTape, so I think it's time we covered packing again since its been a while. Last time we went over how to pack with TransTape and stand to pee prosthetics. This time around, we're going to talk more about packing in general and how TransTape stands out against the alternatives.

Hello, my beautiful people!

Fancy meeting you here.

I hope we're ready to be educated today.

Or at least ready to have a light hearted conversation about the things I like to put in my pants sometimes.

As excited as you may be to learn about what's in my pants, or our pants I should say, you already know we'll have to take a moment to talk about TransTape.

I know, I know, you're a TransTape veteran and you don't need to go over what it is.

But there are new readers and users here, too!

Feel free to skip over this section, I guess.

I only put my heart and sould into these posts.

But in all seriousness, we're just gonna have a quick recap before we get into the good stuff, so no hard feelings if you breeze through to the next part!

What Is TransTape?

TransTape is a compression free, strapless, and waterproof alternative to gender affirming products such as binders, bras and gaffes.

The name of the game is finding your freedom and TransTape helps you do exactly that!

To this day, people are finding more fun and creative ways to express themselves while using TransTape and it is absolutely beautiful.

TransTape is made for everyone.

You don't need to be transgender or a drag performer to use it.

You just gotta be human.

I mean, I guess you don't have to be human, but you get what I'm saying.

TransTape is made from a blend of 95% cotton and 5% spandex and the medical grade acrylic adhesive used is hypoallergenic, latex free and non-medicated.

Although TransTape is made from these high quality materials, it doesn't guarantee it will be okay for everyone's skin. So whether or not you have sensitive skin, please do a test strip prior to applying TransTape.

As with any product, there are detailed instructions on proper application and removal.

Check out the official user guide here and the completely free video course here!

I could talk your eyes off about some TransTape but let's get onto packing.

See what I did there? Talk your eyes off? Cause you're reading? No? Cool, that's cool.

Packing

Alright, time to get to the good stuff!

Or.

Time to drop the trousers.

Just in case you're unfamiliar with packing, packing is using padding, in some cases phallic shaped, to create a bulge which is often associated with having a penis.

There are many ways to pack including fitted briefs, packing boxers, harness and of course TransTape.

Packing is commonly used among transgender men, non-binary persons, drag performers and I'm sure many more for many different reasons.

I mentioned that packing is using padding and sometimes it's phallic shaped.

If you plan on using TransTape to pack, it's probably likely that you're leaning more towards a phallic shaped packer.

I could be very wrong, it happens sometimes, but I'm probably not. And if I am, I owe you some taco bell or something.

Phallic packers, and non phallic alike, can be foam, fabric or cloth and more commonly, silicone. They come in every shape, size and color you can think of.

Seriously.

I'm mentioning this because these things make a big difference in how heavy your package may be and how much tape you'll need to keep it secure.

USPS charges extra for my package.

I'm sorry.

Anyways, the material and size of your packer isn't the only thing you should consider.

Whether or not you're packing with a stand to pee, or a play prosthetic, is also super important. I say this because if you plan on using it in the bathroom or the bedroom, your positioning and technique is going to be completely different than someone using a basic packer without any functions.

I've talked about stand to pee prosthetics in the past, so feel free to check out this post if you'd like to learn more about the specifics of taping with one or even how to use one in general.

TransTape replaces the need to use packing boxers and harnesses, which is the most amazing thing on this entire planet.

I almost hate harnesses more than I hate binders.

Packing with TransTape, at least for me, helps me feel more connected and more whole.

I can pee, sleep, shower and just live freely and authentically with my packer attached.

Just hangin' there, chillin', swangin'.

Everyday

If you're someone who already packs, there's a good chance that you have an everyday packer.

Listen, different days, different dicks.

There's always a favorite though.

What I'm getting at, is that you're probably wondering if TransTape is ideal for an everyday packer.

Meaning, can it withstand all the horrors of a typical day.

Showering, sweating, working, playing if you're lucky.

Wait.

I swear I didn't mean playing and being lucky like that, but it kinda works.

But the answer is, yes!

TransTape holds up during my sweaty workouts and retail workdays with no complaints.

Personally, my applications typically last around 5 days for packing. This usually depends on the intensity of my days, and of course, the quality of my applications.

Due to the tape being in a more active spot on my body, running around and using a stand to pee takes its tolls, my packing applications typically don't last as long as my binding applications.

But that's okay!

Because 5 days using an attached packer is better than 12 hours of an unattached packer.

At least to me.

Read until the end to learn about my first euphoric moment while packing with TransTape.

Performance

You've heard of drag performers, right?

Yes you have, don't lie to me.

Drag Kings and Queens, and everyone in between, are everything and should be protected at all costs.

If you, or someone you know, is a drag performer who uses a packer, TransTape could be a game changer.

Like I said in the last section about the daily horrors, TransTape can withstand active and sweaty lifestyles.

And if you're familiar with drag shows, these performers are under bright, hot lights while acting, dancing, singing and performing their hearts out.

Which makes TransTape a great addition to any performers toolbox.

Unlike using packing briefs, but similar to using a harness, using tape to secure your package gives you more say in how you're buddy is presenting.

Which, although I'm not a performer myself, seems like it could be pretty helpful and maybe even fun.

And you don't have to put on a harness and fight with the straps?

Say less.

But actually say more.

Packing with TransTape allows you to ditch the harness and move freely and unapologetically, on and off the stage.

Once you start using TransTape, the possibilities start to seem endless.

Because they are!

Intimate

Last but certainly not least, TransTape can be used in even our most intimate moments.

With a partner, or even by yourself.

I won't go into crazy detail here but this is a pretty big plus to packing with TransTape so we absolutely need to talk about it.

When we talked about packers way in the beginning, I mentioned STPs, but also play prosthetics.

Play prosthetics, also referred to as 4 in 1 packers, are used in our most intimate moments with ourselves and/or our partner(s).

So, it's no shocker that packing with TransTape could enhance those moments.

Right? Right.

And not to sound like a broken record here or be too forward with you lovely readers, but TransTape can withstand the sweatiest of activities and that doesn't exclude anything.

Using tape can help the user feel more connected mentally and physically to themselves, and/or their partner, without worrying about a harness and some stupid straps.

Even providing a sense of intense gender euphoria for some people.

Also, straps aren't really stupid.

I was just upset thinking about them.

Wrap It Up

If you giggled at this header, you are my people and I love you.

If you didn't giggle, I still love you but I'd like to know what makes you giggle.

Am I flirting with you?

Depends.

Is it working?

I'm kidding, I'm kidding.

Unless you're not.

Moving on.

The possibilities with TransTape are endless and I think we can all agree on that.

There are so many different ways to use it to help feel safe and like yourself in your own skin, it's really such a beautiful thing.

Oh wait, I was supposed to share something with you.

My first euphoric experience with packing with TransTape, actually!

At a TransTape event in Maine, I was lucky enough to be taped up by TransTape's very own Quyen and really experience what it's like to feel free.

That night, TransTape's founder Kai, shoutout you're so incredible I love you, was kind enough to let me use the outdoor shower house and that was the first time I had ever been completely alone and naked with my packer still on.

That moment completely changed the way I felt about packing but also unlocked a different level of confidence.

The type that stems from feeling authentically yourself.

Showering with my packer brought tears to my eyes and afterwards I had to share the moment with the amazing people of TransTape and give Kai a hug.

And now, you guys.

It's incredible that what seem to be the smallest things, the most minor details, end up changing our lives for the better in a matter of seconds.

Something as small as fabric with some adhesive.

If you've been wanting to try something new, whether it has to do with TransTape or not, this is your sign to give it a try.

Do it for you.

You never know, it could change your life.

Until next time,

Stay awesome,

Stay beautiful,

Stay you.

You are loved and it gets better.

Talk to you soon,

Jamie

I'm always looking for my next adventure and have been skydiving, road-tripping, hiking in the mountains and even served for a short time in the United States Marine Corps. My life has had its fair share of twists and turns and I hope to use those experiences to create helpful and relatable content that may help someone else navigate a difficult time in life.
